kerala beef fry



Ingredients

Beef cut into small pieces and cleaned - 1/2 kg

I)For Marination
1)Chillly powder - 2 teaspoon
2)Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
3)Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
4)Salt as required

II)Other Ingredients:
1)Onion - 2 or 3nos
2)Chopped Ginger - 1 small piece
3)Chopped Green chilly - 4 nos
4)Chopped Garlic - 5 nos
5)Coconut pieces - as needed
6)Redchilly powder - 1 teaspoon
7)Pepper powder - 2 teaspoon
8)Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
9)Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
10)Curry leaf(kariveppila)-3 sprigs
11)Lemonjuice - 1 teaspoon
12)Garam masala - 2 teaspoon
13) Oil - 100 ml(preferably cocnut oil)

Method
Mix all  the ingredients for marination .Put  the beef pieces into it  and keep it for a while for marination.Cook the marinated beef with little water in a pressure cooker for3-4 whistles(according to the softness of the meat used,don't overcook).
Remove the lid of the pressure cooker and continue heating till the water is completely removed by stirring in between.
Heat oil in a pan.Add Onion,Ginger,Green Chilly,Garlic,Coconut pieces to it and saute for sometime.Add Redchilly powder,Pepper powder,Coriander powder, Turmeric powder and fry for a minute.Add the cooked beef,curry leaf,lemonjuice and garam masala and heat it in low flame stirring well till the beef gets fried.
