Coconut Dates

Ingredients

Dates(seedless) - 1 cup
Butter - 1 tablespoon
Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coconut powder - 1/2 cup
Badam : 10 nos

Method

Fry  badam in a pan without oil for a while .Grind the dates  in a mixie.Take a pan add butter.Saute the dates in butter.Add Cardamom powder and switch off the flame.
Tip:To remove the skin of badam seeds put the badam in hot water for a while,take it out and remove the skin.
Make balls of small size with this mixture.Insert a badam inside each ball.Roll the balls in coconut powder.Coconut dates are ready to serve...

Beetroot Pachadi

Ingredients

Beetroot small : 1 no
Salt : as needed
yoghurt whisked : 1/2 cup

To Grind

Grated  coconut : 1/2 cup
cumin seeds : 1/2 teaspoon
Small onion(cheriyulli) : 1/2 teaspoon
1/4 cup water

To season

Coconut Oil : 1 teaspoon
Mustard : 1 teaspoon
 Dry red chilli : 1 no
Curry leaf : as needed
Small Onion(cheriyaulli) or Onion : as needed

Method

Grind the ingredients for grinding in a mixie.Mix this with yoghurt and keep aside.
Chop betroot into very small fine pieces,add salt,little water and cook in a pan.Switch off the flame.Add this to the yoghurt mixture kept aside.
Take coconut oil in another pan and splutter mustard seeds.Add redchilli,curry leaf,small onion and fry it.Add this to the prepared mixture.Now the beetroot pachadi is ready.

Fried Chicken



Ingredients
Chicken - 1/2 kg(cut into small pieces)

For Marination

1)Chicken - 1/2 kg
2)Pepper Powder - 1 teaspoon
3)Ginger-garlic paste - 2 teaspoon
4)Salt

Other Ingredients

1)Maida - 3 teaspoon
2)Cornflour - 2 tablespoon
3)Chilli Sauce - 1 1/2 teaspoon
4)Soya sauce - 11/2 tablespoon
5)Tomato Sauce - 2 tablespoon
6)Cornflakes crushed with hand

Method

Marinate Chicken with the ingredients for marination and keep for 1/2 hour.
Mix the other ingredients Maida ,Cornflour,Chilli sauce,Soya sauce,Tomato sauce.
Dip marinated  chicken in the mix and roll it in cornflakes .Heat oil in a frying  pan and deep fry the rolled chicken..

Walnut Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Maida - 1 cup
Eggs - 2 nos
Butter - 3/4 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
Milk - 1/4 cup
Walnut - 1/3 cup
Cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon

Method
 Preheat Oven to 180 degree celsius.
Sieve Maida  with cocoa powder and Baking Powder.Keep it aside.
Separate Egg yolk and white from the eggs.
Beat butter and Sugar nicely.Continue beating by adding egg yolk and then egg white .Add sieved maida and mix well.then add milk,vanilla Essence,Walnut  to the mixture and mix itagain.Pour this batter to a cake dish.Cook for 30 - 35 minutes.

Tip1 : For greasing  a cake dish either apply butter inside the dish or line with a baking sheet

Tip 2 :A tooth pick inserted into the batter  comes out clean when the cake is  ready

Mysore Pak

Ingredients

Besan(Kadalamavu) - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Melted Ghee - 1 1/4 cup

Method
Mix besan and ghee thoroughly so that no lumps are formed and keep aside.
Take  2 cups of Sugar in a pan  and add 1/2 cup of water.Boil and make a semi sugar syrup.Add the besan mix to this Sugar Syrup.Stir continuously till  big bubbles are formed.Remove and pour this mixture to a plate coated with 1/2 teaspoon ghee.Allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes and then cut into pieces..

Cake Roll

Ingredients

Maida - 1/4 cup
Sugar - 2 1/2 tablespoon
Ghee - 2 teaspoon
Baking powder - 1 pinch
Strawberry Syrup
Egg - 2 nos
Vanilla Essence - 1/4 teaspoon


Method

Sieve Maida and Baking Powder keep it  aside for a while.
Beat the eggs till it gets fluffy.Add sugar to the beated eggs ,stirring well followed by maida and vanilla essence and beat again for a while.Take  ghee in a nonstick pan.Pour the mixture into the pan.Close it  and cook for 5 to 7 minutes in low flame.Transfer it  to a plate and spread strawberry syrup and roll it.Cut the roll into pieces like the shape of jam rolls.

Tip : Instead of srawberry syrup, mix fruit jam with little hot water can also be used..

Swiss Tart

Ingredients

Butter - 8 tablespoons(175 grams)
Maida - 1/2 cup
Icing Sugar - 3 tablespoon
Cornflour - 1/2 cup

Method

Mix maida with  Cornflour and keep it aside.
Mix Icing Sugar with Butter.Add maida,cornflour mix to this mixture.
Pour the above mix into a paper cup using a filler.
Preheat oven to 180 degree celsius.Cook for 30 -35 minutes.
Cool and add jam to the holes of the baked mixture.

Tip : Instead of  filler,butter paper folded in the shape of a cone with a small hole at the tip can also be used for pouring the batter into the paper cup.
